My Message

Please help fill our virtual kettle in support of The Salvation Army Food Bank/Soup Kitchen.  The local soup kitchen provides food to over 100 men, women and children in our community and our goal of $800 will fund the soup kitchen for 2 days.  We have already exceeded our initial fundraising goal of $400 on this online kettle.

In total, we have so far raised over $1,750 for the Salvation Army from our busking sessions at the Qualicum Beach Farmers Market, our stint outside of Thrifty Foods in Parksville, this online kettle, and money received as winners of the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award from AFP.

If you missed us busking in the town, we've added a video of us playing a few blues by Robert Johnson and Doc Watson and if you feel like throwing some coins into our 'virtual hat' we'd be very grateful.

This other video is us playing Sweet Home Chicago by Robert Johnson and was filmed for Shaw TV at the Empress Hotel in Victoria. To see the video - copy and paste the link below into your browser window.

Liam, Ewan & Connor were recently named as winners in the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award (Ages 5-10).  As winners, they were given a total of $600 by the Andrew D. Beckerman Fund at the Victoria Foundation to allocate to a charity of their choosing.  The boys will be donating this money to Salvation Army Mount Arrowsmith.

Thank you for your support of our local Salvation Army Soup Kitchen/Food Bank!
