My Message

Our community is facing a crisis as housing costs soar and those most vulnerable get left behind. The Salvation Army works on the front lines giving hope to those who need it most.  This past year there were many people who came to The Salvation Army for help.  Joe*, a senior, came to Richmond House Shelter after finding himself homeless after a divorce. Depressed and using alcohol to cope with the losses, he ended up losing everything. The staff at the shelter were able to help Joe find treatment and housing. Today he is living in the community in stable housing.

The Salvation Army believes that human dignity is a fundamental right for all. When you give, you are helping support access to basic rights, such as nutritious food, health care, education and economic opportunity. And remember - your donation will help vulnerable people in your local community, at Christmas and throughout the year. You will help us serve over 6000 meals and over 300 Christmas Dinners, give out 100's of toys, supply over 60 backpacks to school children, send 40 children to camp, provide food and clothing, advocacy and support to many and shelter over 300 individuals.

You can join us in this effort by helping us make a difference.  Your support is crucial in helping us give hope to those in Richmond who are experiencing difficult times. Please help fill our virtual kettle in support of The Salvation Army Christmas Campaign and you will help restore hope and dignity to people right here in Richmond.

Thank you for your donation!
