Camping Ministry

You can help a child to have a life changing experience

The Salvation Army in Ontario has operated camps to serve children for over a hundred years! Each year thousands of children are brimming with excitement as they arrive at the Newport site in Muskoka and the Jacksons Point site on the shores of Lake Simcoe.

Camping has always been about stepping away from home to enjoy new adventures in the beauty of creation. It’s a place where people learn about the love of God for them. Camp offers many activities like swimming, canoeing, high ropes, sports, music and archery for youth ages 6-17.

Our purpose is to serve the whole person, spiritually, mentally, socially and physically through a creative and fun experience in a camp setting.

We are so grateful for the many people who invest in the camping ministry for the purpose of seeing lives transformed! Thank you!

Join us in seeing lives changed by the love of God. Here is how you can help:

Camper Scholarships

You can make it possible for a camper to experience a life-changing experience at camp.

General Operating Fund

Our goal is to deliver excellence in programming, facilities and staff but at the same to time to set fees that are accessible to as many as possible. Donations to our Operating fund make it possible to continue to offer camp to deserving children.

Projects

This year we have a number of projects that need completing. Your help would be appreciated.
